Electron transport system and Oxidative Phosphorylation
energy is carried to the processes of cellular respiration by the electron transport system. This happens in the mitochondria when high energy compounds pass electrons to low energy compounds or electron acceptors. This process produces ATp with each step. The final and most important electron acceptor is oxygen.
